Dawn dishwashing soap has long been known for its use on more than just dishes.
Surprisingly, it can even be used to get rid of pests.
However, there are some things you should know before you use it on the dreaded pests.
It needs to be applied in a specific way, and some versions of Dawn are more effective than others.
So Here are the best ways to use dawn dish soap to get rid of certain pests.
1.
Gnats. Whether they’re a result of moist houseplant soil or rotting food in your garbage can, gnats can be a nuisance.
But just because gnats are around, it doesn’t mean they need to be tolerated forever.
Fill a glass or a bowl with 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, a half cup of warm water, and about 5 drops of liquid dish soap and stir well.
Gnats will be attracted to the sweet sugar and pungent vinegar, but the sticky dish soap will disable them from escaping.
This trick also works with wine!
If you have an unfinished bottle of red wine that has oxidized and turned sour, use the wine to replace the water, sugar, and vinegar.
Just add the liquid dawn dish soap, set it out in the open, and wait for the gnats to dive in.
2 .
Ants. Ants in the house are a big nuisance.
They enter your home when they smell or sense food.
Some ants may nest inside rotting floorboards or window frames of a house.
To get rid of ants make a mixture of dish soap or dishwashing liquid, and put it in a spray bottle and shake it well.
Then you can Spray it on the ants.
The solution will stick to the ants and the dish soap suffocates the ants to death.
This spray can also be used to kill ants that are thriving on your plants.
The solution will kill the ants without harming your plants.
3. fleas.
Gnats and fruit flies are two different things.
What’s in it?
Mole or Vole? Or both?
I know somebody that swears to using dawn to kill pests. It’s never worked, but you can’t convince them it doesn’t work.
That’s the worse advice possible. Just sprinkle baking soda around the carpet and on bedding and furniture for bed bugs and fleas and then vacuum the area after a 5-12 hour period. The baking soda suffocates the eggs, larva, and adults.
Additionally you can put a bowl mixed with water and dish liquid under a light on the carpet and let it set over night. The heat of the light will draw the fleas that will jump in the bowl and drown.
You can also use a dish and water mix in a cup and put stink bugs in it. They will down and die. But dear God, don’t touch the bed bugs.

Flea collar when use dawn dish soap on them for a few minutes then wash it off then get flea comb and or lice comb to make sure they don’t leave eggs then put flea collars back on them

For those that have a Nat problem and the Dawn dish soap or wine trick doesn’t work for you and easier way to do. It is get a cup and and put apple cider vinegar halfway to the top and you put saran wrap over the top of it with a hair scrunchie or rubber band on the top, holding it to the cup and poke little holes in the top of the plastic wrap using a toothpick and they will get in and never come out

I use a shot of whiskey because I notice that when Im drinking it, they try to get into my glass every time 😂

Bed Bugs are devil’s way of tormenting mankind. Simply a prayer of faith can remove them.
I once visited a family in a remote village. I was given a room full of Bed Bugs. First few nights were horrible waking up at night killing the bed Bugs. One night I decided to pray to God asking him to remove the bed bugs from my room. That night I had a dream. The biggest Deb Bug stood at the edge of my bed and shouted a command that all the bed bugs leave my room and move to the other house. In the middle of the night I was awaken by people talking and torch lights flashing. next morning morning I asked what was the matter. They said they suddenly had attack from the bed bugs. Next night onwards I didn’t see any single bed dug in my bed. For a month I stayed with the family I had peaceful nights, while the family had sleepless nights fighting bed bugs. God is good. All I know is that dawn rain scent is the worst smell in this world. It smells like a ninety five year old womans stale perfume. You know, the kind and she’s been wearing it all day and its starting to wear off, and then it really smells bad. Like an old lady on her way to a gig at the morgue. This is terrible smelling stuff.I wouldn’t even wash a car with it. I threw the whole bottle over the neighbors fence. Let them deal with it.
